GOLF
There are a vast range of gold courses in and around Bridgnorth, a selection of which are listed below.
The Astbury - www.theastbury.co.uk/golf
The first golf course designed by legendary rock star KK Downing. Home of our tour professional 2016 Ryder Cup captain Darren Clarke OBE.
The Astbury is a Par 71 that measures over 6500 yards. The golf course features the latest creeping bent grass greens built to USGA
specifications, subtly contoured to provide the uppermost quality of playing surfaces available. Throughout the course you will be faced with many challenging shots, however none more so than the 18th hole, a truly spectacular par 3 stretching 200 yards from the black tees.
Bridgnorth Golf Club - www.bridgnorthgolfclub.co.uk
Bridgnorth is a picturesque, 18 hole predominantly parkland golf course. The course is a delight to play, covering varying types of terrain. Some holes are on dry springy hill side turf, some on generally free draining land overlooking the River Severn flood plain and some the holes alongside the river are on fertile, silt generated meadowland.
Worfield Golf Club - www.worfieldgolfclub.co.uk
Nestled in the heart of the Shropshire countryside on the gentle slopes of the former Wyken Estate, 140ft above sea level, the Club benefits from free draining land providing the potential for all year round play. With the feel of an Inland Links course, and established majestic estate trees and gorse shrubs with recently introduced mature native trees protecting the beautiful turf of the fairways, a round at Worfield really is an escape to a rural oasis. And with acres of wildflowers and conservation areas; reintroduced lakes, pools and hedgerows, Worfield is a sanctuary for wildlife too!
Chesterton Valley Golf Club - www.chestertonvalleygolfclub.com
Opened in 1993 as a 9 hole course we quickly expanded to the 18 hole course you see today. Whilst only measuring 6048 yards from the white tees with a Par 71, the course's lack of length is protected by tree lined fairways, numerous bunkers and subtlely undulating greens. The course is a fair test of golf for both beginner and experienced golfer alike!

CANOEING
The River Severn provides an ideal setting for canoeing, with the Canoe, Pub and Steam Train trips proving very popular.

Ultimate Canoe and Kayak - www.ultimate-canoeandkayak.co.uk/bridgnorth-to-arley

Both upstream and downstream the river winds peacefully through the green fields and dense woodland of the Severn Valley. There is plenty of wildlife to spot en route and on the return journey you have the opportunity to use the Severn Valley Railway which adds something a bit different to your trip!

WALKING
There are a whole host of walking routes in the local area, amongst the most popular is the Geopark Way, spanning 109 miles starting in
