I have stayed with the Croft previously. As one would expect, both times, a fantastic clean, well presented room, tea and coffee facilities in the room.Also a lovely breakfast room and the English breakfast is excellent, also there is a well stocked juice,fruit and ceral bar. All extremely good.

Very friendly staff, nice old building, comfortable room and excellent breakfast!

Well situated and comfortable. Hotel lacks parking facilities but there is a public carpark close by which free overnight 6pm to 8am. Ticket required from 8am. Excellent breakfast. Would stay again. Reasonable rates.

Spent 2 nights at the Croft, whilst visiting friends in Bridgnorth. It was a return Stay, and as before The Croft provided comfortable, clean & friendly accommodation. Bedroom with good shower facility, storage for clothes. Breakfast generous & tasty.

We stayed in the Salt Cottage which was a short walk from The Croft. It was in a fabulous area. Much nicer to be in the higher town. Great sight seeing. Although small The Cottage suited our needs. 4 of us stayed there. We were on the top floor. I thought the stairs were a bit steep and dangerous during the night. Apart from that it was a lovely little cottage.

Stayed here many times and it’s always good. Handy for town centre, pubs, restaurants and Severn Valley Railway.

Comfortable accommodation as usual. Friendly.Good breakfast but it would be helpful if the option of marmalade was available.Also the toast came out one daywell before we needed it so got cold. Please bring out after we have eaten the cooked section.

I always stay here. It’s quiet, warm and friendly and the rooms are very well kept and full features of how old the building is. Always clean and fully stocked. The breakfast is lovely and they use local produce. It’s the only time I drink out of a china cup and saucer.I look forward to staying again. What a lovely stay, managed to check in early, beautiful rooms with everything you need. We were off to a wedding and needed some where close to stay. Great selection of games, son enjoyed playing chess.Breakfast was freshly cooked, staff very friendly. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Great value for money. The host was deputising for his sister who was having a well earned holiday. He was friendly, very helpful and delivered 21 breakfasts with an assistant in a highly efficient and calm manner. The room was excellent, I had the single en suite room which was well appointed and comfortable. I'd highly recommend it .

We stayed in the lodge at the rear of the Croft. It was within it's own secret garden area with garden furniture, sun beds, table and chairs.Comfortable bed and shower prefect. Tasty, well cooked breakfast and served with a smile. All in all we had a first class stay. We highly recommend the Croft and hope to stay again in the future.

Very much enjoyed our weekend at the Croft. Unhurried relaxing atmosphere with welcoming hosts. We have stayed here several times and it is a consistently good palce to stay. Central to town with ammenities and attractions on the doorstep, it is a great base for a stay in Bridgnorth.I would also mention the lovely breakfasts that provide a welcome start to each day.Thanks again for a great stay in your lovely hotel!

Great welcome from the hosts, lovely large clean bedroom and great breakfast.Beautiful building really close to Main Street but our room was very quiet and warm and we couldn’t hear any outside noise.Toiletries and tea and coffee making included.Highly recommended

We have been using The Croft for over ten years as our base for our golf tours (group of eight) always get a warm welcome, bedrooms are spacious and a hearty breakfast each morning. The accommodation couldn’t be in a better location only two minutes off the main high street.We will be back in 2025

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights during a business trip to the area.The room was a very good size, the bed was comfortable and the location ideal for our needs.Breakfast was excellent.Customer service was fantastic.I also particularly liked the traditional character features of this lovely old property.

When visiting Bridgnorth, The Croft is my favourite place to stay. It’s so friendly and welcoming and the breakfast is always wonderful with locally sourced produce. The rooms are so clean and well kept. The location couldn’t be better by being off the high street in a quiet side road. I’ve stayed in various places in Bridgnorth, but once I discovered The Croft, I never stay anywhere else. Jeanette and Paul are so nice and it’s a pleasure to stay with them.

I have stayed at the Croft a couple of times now, and the experience is always good from arrival to departure.Rooms are well appointed and the breakfast is great.Location is great for anyone visiting Bridgnorth - the hotel is very close to high street so there can be a little bit of noise from the busy area but no major issue.Parking is easy as there is a large car park literally next door.

The Croft is a beautiful old building in the middle of Bridgnorth. Our rooms were cosy and scrupulously clean. Staff very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. Perfectly situated for eating out in the town and although there is no parking per se, the Car Park is just a few hundred yards away with a cut through back to the building, so very convenient. My friend and I would happily stay here again.

Lovely friendly staff checked in no problem got to the room which was on the small size but not a problem we were only staying one night . We then tried to put on the tv as we wanted a little chill before we went out for dinner but the tv was stuck on dvd setting , called up the guy who I presume is the owner he came straight away tried to sort the issue with no luck he then suggested would we mind moving to a different room which we agreed to sending room was much bigger with a bath and a working tv so win win couldn’t fault the guy he was very helpful . Went down for a pre ordered breakfast which was served promptly by a lovey young girl very friendly nothing was too much trouble would definitely stay here again .

Ideal location for walking into town, either shopping or eating. It was unfortunate that the river had flooded, so we were unable to walk along the river.However, the hosts were very friendly, providing information regarding the town and area and updates on the floods.Bedrooms were small, but adequate, clean and being able to get together in the main lounge in the evening, was a bonus.

Spent the weekend in the The Hideaway Lodge was so lovely and in a great location to the town and parking. Would highly recommend and we look forward to a return visit.

Great stay for all our family meeting up in Bridgnorth for my mum’s 80th.The owners (who were wonderful hosts)took it upon themselves to put mum in a room on the ground floor without knowing that she’s quite spritely.Stayed for the weekend and enjoyed our celebrations.Would definitely recommend The Croft and the breakfast was great😊

the stay at the hotel over the weekend of november 11th/12th was as usual verypleasant and comfortable, i can only recommend this hotel to anyone wishing tovisit the area.

Lovely B&B.This was my second visit.Welcoming hosts.Very comfortable, quite peaceful but only a minute or so away from High Street.Very good breakfast.

We’ve stayed for 2 nights in November and the place was exactly what we hoped for. The room was nice, cosy and perfectly situated in the town. The B&B is close to the main high street and amenities. The breakfast is the best you can find in town. You can feel that the ingredients are fresh & local. The hosts took amazing care of us and made us feel so welcome. The whole B&B has a lovely character and it will exceed your expectations. We will be coming here again & again for sure!Big shout out to the hosts!

We made the booking through Booking.com and so glad we did, the guesthouse is very well located, just off the High Street, we were slightly late arriving but Ginette the host was most welcoming and and made check in a breeze, the room was spacious and warm, with tea and coffee making facilities, the shower was most refreshing and the bed was nice and comfortable, finally the breakfast was delightful and we would highly recommend this accommodation to visitors to the Bridgnorth area.

The hotel was lovely in a beautiful little street surrounded by cobble stones and old town houses. The owners were welcoming and our room was clean and comfortable after a long day traveling. During the breakfast we could not have been looked after better and would happily visit again.

Loved the quirky old building and the location was excellent.Very attentive at breakfastOnly negative was when we arrived early at 2 we were not made to feel very welcome. We were able to leave our bags but had to stand out on the street until 3 before we could check in even though the room was clearly ready. Then room 1 was not a twin as requested, so moved to room 6 by the lady employee who was very helpful

we had four rooms between us (8 adults 1 child) our room No:10 hadn't had the floor cleaned from the previous guests, so please don't think the bits of paper on the floor are ours ! The other rooms No:1, No:8 & No:9 were very clean on arrival. Breakfast was perfect and some really good choices. The location of the house is perfect for exploring Bridgnorth. I would have given you five stars but because of the cleanliness of room No:10.

We had a ground floor double. Small but everything we needed for 1 night. Parking was OK as we arrived and found a space on the street which was fine for overnight. Had to move it the next morning but there was a space on the high street. Also a car patk atound the corner. We had a good walk around the town in the evening. Plenty of choice for eating out. Nice breakfast. Good value for money. Thank you!

I had such a lovely stay. They are such lovely people so much so that they make you feel more like family than a guest. You could not ask for better people to look after you. They went out of their way to ensure you were looked after in every way. I would recommend them to anyone.

Hi just had a 2 day break at this lovely hotel. Very welcoming. The room was no2 spacious and very clean. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had so unusual to be offered haddock as a change from bacon and sausage which my husband had and thoroughly enjoyed I had the haddock which was lovely. Yes we would recommend and will be returning. Thank you again.

All very friendly, well equipped and comfortable with an excellent breakfast.Just one thing - for anybody with a specific need for or reliance upon WiFi, I was consistently unable to obtain a signal from within my room (Room 8) and so had to use the lounge by Reception in order to access the internet or send/receive email.The owners are aware of the problem and said that they are aware and intend to rectify.

We arrived early and asked to leave our bags but were told room was ready.Hostess gave us details of where to park,a short walk away.Location was ideal,in the centre of town.Room was comfortable with an ensuite and lots of mirrors,plug sockets and a hospitality tray.Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice.Will definitely be back again

A fantastic place to stay! We have had such a wonderful stay! The rooms are so clean and so comfy!! The shower is amazing. Breakfast for those of us who made it downstairs was delicious! For those that didn’t a bacon butty was made - equally delicious. Nothing is too much bother! Fantastic hosts!!

Our hosts at The Croft were very welcoming and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble.Notable were the cleanliness and delightful dining room providing us with a very good breakfast.Fortunately public parking is available only 2 to 3 minues walk from the hotel itself.

The Croft is clean, comfortable and conveniently situated in the centre of Bridgnorth. A bonus is the nearby Listley Streetcar park which has four 7kW charging points which are perfect for overnight charging your EV at modest cost.

Our room in the attic was quirky, but fun (mind your head!)Everything was really clean, but the TV was allergic to BBC - wise machine!Hope to come again.

As I'm sure you are aware, there is a burn mark on the carpet, it looks like the shape of an iron, one other thing the toilet seat doesn't stay up on it's own. These in no way affected my stay and are just for your info. Thankyou.

We were a group of eight golfers (this was our tenth year) ideal location for local courses Paul and his team were most welcoming.Rooms are clean and spacious the breakfast is enough to keep you going until your evening meal and there are plenty of choices in the town.We will definitely be booking for 2024 golf tour.

The Croft is quite simply presented but very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. There is no parking, but it would be hard to find anywhere I Bridgnorth with parking. I would highly recommend The Cody. Very central to town centre.

A welcome return to The Croft and its new owners since the Pandemic. Ideal location for the Severn Valley Railway and the King's Coronation celebrations. Excellent breakfast. Cramped bathroom space in the bedroom. Attentive service.

Very comfortable and easy for town centre

Arrived in Bridgnorth about 10.30am and was allowed to leave our bags at the hotel before check in so we could spend the day around the town without having to worry about returning to the car to get our bags which we had parked out of the town. We checked in ab hour and half early which was also great because we where all showed out. The room which was room 1 was very spacious and the bed was large and comfortable. The ensuit shower room was very spacious to.After a very good night sleep we went down to a lovely dining room and had a fantastic breakfast. I would highly recommend this place for a short break as its just off high town and close to everything. Would definitely stay again.

We had a comfortable stay and staff went the extra mile for us. The only downside was the parking, the most convenient car park was quite expensive, there were cheaper ones but a little further away . The choice is yours.We would definitely stay again though.

We recently spent one night at The Croft. The owners were so friendly and welcoming. The room was well presented, warm, clean, and tidy, with shower, tv and a good bed. Breakfast was ordered the night before and was well presented and served with a smile. We were made to feel very relaxed. We would certainly recommend you try The Croft if you want comfortable, pleasant and welcoming surroundings and want to be as close as possible to the centre of Bridgnorth.

The Croft was the perfect place to stay for us. We were attending an event at The Atrium, which was a 5 minute walk away.Our hosts (Jeanette & Paul) were so helpful with local information about parking and local attractions and were so flexible about us arriving early.The breakfast was immense and set us up for a cold Sunday out and about. Could not speak more highly and will definitely return soon !

A warm and comfortable stay at The Croft on a very cold night. Lovely big bed, slept well and breakfast was yummy.In the middle of town so we could walk everywhere, we love Bridgnorth, such an interesting place with plenty of places to explore.

The Croft is located just of the Main Street in Bridgnorth, which means you are 1 minute away from shops and restaurants, but away from noise after 10pm, not that we noticed any outside really. Breakfasts are cooked to order, but you order the night before and choose a time for breakfast, perfect. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We will be back.

What a fantastic place to stay.Bridgnorth is a really great place to visit with so much to see and do and The Croft is a gem of a place to stay wile you explore.The owners are friendly and accommadating with a really good breakfast to start you off each morning.

Just recently spent a full seven nights stay at this B&B having previously stayed here before. Clean, tidy and excellent food hygiene. The breakfast is always top class and your wishes and satisfication are of utmost importance to Jeanette and Paul (the owners) I could not recommend this establishment more highly.

Really quaint hotel, with spacious comfortable rooms with good facilities.Staff were exceptionally friendly and the breakfasts were good.Location is very handy for the town centre shops, pubs, restaurants etc.There is no dedicated parking but there are two big car parks near Sainsburys which are only a couple of minutes walk away at only £3 per day. There is a nearer car park on Listley Street which you can get to via a cut through but it is more expensive.I'd certainly stay here again if visiting Bridgnorth.

The first impression of a warm lounge with a fire lifted my spirits after a long journey. The room was spacious and warm, and the armchairs stopped the feeling of just being in a bedroom that you feel in many hotels. The breakfast was excellent.

As regular visitors to the croft over many years we enjoyed another very comfortable stay. We enjoy the facilities available in our rooms and the standard of cleanliness throughout. Paul and Jeanette are friendly helpful hosts. The location is great, the only downside is the cost of car parking in town.

The Croft is a lovely place to stay. The Building is very pretty and the interior is very tastefully furnished and decorated. My bedroom was a small double. It had everything a lady needs. Hairdryer, full length mirror, tea and coffee facilities. The Shower room was small but as I was travelling alone this was not a problem. I had a good peaceful sleep,confy bed etc...Everything very clean.Breakfast was of a high standard. Paul and his lovely wife are very good hosts. I would highly recommend the Croft.

Ideally situated for Severn Valley Railway. The room was very comfortable and well equipped.Especially having a cooling fan. Breakfast was verygood and everywhere was spotless.

Both our rooms had en-suite shower rooms in which the showers were lovely and powerful. Everywhere was immaculately clean. The cooked breakfasts were superb, for those none meat eaters there were two fish options available. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely lady who served our breakfast. We stayed at The Croft for one night as we had a wedding to attend in Bridgnorth. On booking there was no problem in getting an early check-in time enabling us to change before the wedding and to pick up key as we would be getting back late. Parking was convenient in next road at paid car park with a cut through to B&B. We stayed in a pleasant room No5 on second floor (no lift). Comfortable bed and everything you would need for your stay. A good breakfast served to your table (chosen the night before). Only two unfortunate criticisms, we had no hot water for a shower in the morning as a switch was not turned on for our particular room and no other room was available to use, we did get a reduced rate because of that. Couldn't get a connection to the WiFi. The owners were very friendly and welcoming.

We received a warm welcome on arriving at The Croft, with a helping hand with unloading our luggage from the car. We were staying here for a family wedding. The Croft is a 15th? Century House so very old with all its nooks and crannies but spotless clean. Our breakfast’s was excellent, serving local bacon and sausages, the best we ever had. we stopped at the croft for a few nights over new year and i must put that it is totally the best great house that i have ever stopped in. the service hospitality decor breakfast beds atmosphere facilities and price range were superb and i will most definitely visit again next time in bridgnorth overnight. Paul and Jeanette are welcoming professional and just simply lovely folk and i would sum up by adding that this b and b is classy in an understated way and has all the ingredients for an amazing stay in this lovely town. thanks.

Highly recommend staying here, as said in the title the owners are very friendly and make you feel very welcome.It is a great place to stay in this very unique town.

Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Warm and Cosy. Perfectly situated. Fantastic hosts. Our Youngest Grandchildren stopped for two nights they loved it.Only disappointment, we couldn’t get them out of bed early enough to go for the fantastic breakfast.

Enjoyed our 1 night stay between Xmas and New Year. Friendly and accommodating. Room very clean, breakfast nice and kept asking if anything else we needed. Would definitely stay again.

My Mum and Uncle stayed at The Croft over Christmas. They both found Janette and Paul very accommodating, friendly and helpful. They thought the rooms were lovely and clean. Gwyn and I loved our stay with you both, the friendly atmosphere, the cosiness of the house, the strides to the town and a wonderful base for seeing lovely salop. It was a struggle for gwyn to the top room but we booked late so we were fortunate to get a room. She saw the x ray department yesterday to be told she has torn both her hamstrings 5weeks ago, playing table tennis so we have to wait for the healing process to get working. Anyway ,we had a great time all round and will be booking you again, probably springtime. Once again many thanks and all the best for Christmas. P&g xx

Amazing b and b, host were very helpful, breakfast amazing,only slight downside was that the shower on our room did not have much water pressure, but a very slight downside, would recommend this b and b to family and friends.

This is a beautiful old building in the heart of High Town, very close to the main street, with all the bars / restaurants / shops. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We have stayed there previously, with the former owners, and I am glad that the standard hasn't dropped.

Nice and clean easy access to the town

We only had an overnight stay after a wedding but it was great.We collected the keys before the wedding as we would not be back until late - breakfast was wonderful and the perfect remedy for post wedding headaches!Parking was just a few metres away so no problem at all.Thank you!

We had a very pleasant stay in this immaculately clean B&B. Our room was comfortable as was the bed which made for a good night's sleep. The breakfast was well cooked and tasty with plenty of choice. Great service from staff at breakfast, too. Parking was not on site, however, a close by pay and display was only a stone's throw away so it was not a problem in the slightest. As The Croft is situated in the centre of Bridgnorth this made for a perfect location with shops, restaurants and pubs close by. This is our second visit, we will return. Many thanks for your hospitality.

We have visited The Croft several times and always stay there when staying in Bridgnorth.

3 night stay in this lovely cottage which is ideally located in central Bridgnorth hence everything is accessible on foot and about 5 minutes walk from The Croft itself.The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped.Communication with Jeanette and Paul was excellent from start to finish.Grateful to have enjoyed a great breakfast at The Croft on one of the mornings - great value for £5.All in all, the whole experience was first class…… thankyou.

Had a 2 night stay and we wished we’d booked for longer. Lovely welcoming and friendly owners and staff.Nothing was too much trouble and free bottled water and fresh milk supplied to take to your room. Copious amounts of hot water and amazing water pressure so no trickling showers. We even had a bath in our en suit.Breakfast was wonderful with the best cooked poached eggs we’ve ever seen! Highly recommended!

I found avery friendly atmosphere among guests at breakfast and was looked after well by the host. After a very tiring day travelling around Ironbridge this was an excellent place to rest up.

The quiet central position is very convenient. The welcome is warm so that as a guest you feel relaced and at home. The breakfasts are wonderful.

I have been stopping at the Croft for years and it’s brilliant. Comfortable and clean with a good breakfast. Janette and Paul always make you feel welcome. Everything is also on the doorstep, pubs, restaurants and shops. You won’t find a better place to stop in the lovely town of Bridgnorth.

I had a fantastic stay a The Croft.The room was gorgeous, with a beautiful large shower. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and the proprietors helpful. I cycled there and they were able to store my bike safely and recommend good places to eat.

Loved staying here. Staff brilliant everything worked and was really clean. really nice brekfast and looking forward to our next visit.Only drawback, steps are really steep so ask for a lower levl room if this is an issue.

We were a party of eight on a golfing break playing various courses in and around the area. The accommodation was excellent all rooms had on suites and were spotless. When it came to breakfast there was plenty of anything you wished including extra toast tea and coffeeBridgnorth itself is spoilt for excellent pubs and restaurants offering excellent value for money. Everything was just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel including the car park which only charged from 8.00-18.00.I highly recommend the Croft.

Whole stay was excellent.The hosts are lovely and could not do enough to ensure our stay was perfect.Whole place was immaculately clean and COVID safe. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed.Breakfast was fresh and tasty with local produce being used. Excellent location, ideal for local high street, where there is an abundance of shops, cafes, pubs & restaurants, plus easy access to cliff railway, river walks, castle grounds, Severn Valley Steam Railway etc so many things to see and do.I would definitely return to this B&B and highly recommend it

Stopped here on my cycle ride following the national cycle network and it’s a great location. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. I could even hose down the mud from my bike! Lovely breakfast and very good value - highly recommend.

Welcoming and helpful hosts, a clean and comfortable room, pleasant and spacious communal areas and an excellent breakfast. It is also in a very convenient location, and relatively quiet for being so central. No designated parking but a car park very nearby (Listley St).

It was my first stay at The Croft & I was very pleased with the standard of accommodation & the friendly, professional service.

Lovely B&B with great hosts who can't do enough for you. We went for our 30th wedding anniversary and was given a bottle of bubbly. The breakfast is great with plenty of tea and coffee and extra toast. Homemade jam and marmalade was delicious. This was our 4th stay but under new owners but will definitely stay again.

Had such a lovely stay. Warm welcome. Absolutely spotlessly clean room. Well equipped with added extras. All refreshed the next day. Clean towels replenished, tea n coffee all restocked. Such a pretty establishment, beautiful building with added features of having a lounge and dining room to enjoy, should you want to return for a few drinks or bring a takeaway back. I can’t say enough about Jean and Paul, apart to say they are so friendly, laid back and make you so welcome. The breakfast is top drawer. Nothing is too much trouble and the whole shabang gives you a big smile on your face. I wouldn’t choose to stay anywhere else. It’s the cleanest B&B and perfectly situated just off the high street. Being so central , it’s amazing how silent and peaceful it is.Can’t wait to stay again.

Stayed for one Saturday night . The accomadation is extremely comfortable and clean and well deserves the high rating on booking.com the highlight was the cooked breakfast which was very well presented and off high quality. Talking to the owners their aims are just to maintain the standards and they even make their own jam for breakfast. Couldn’t recommend it enough

you'll be hard pushed to find a better B&B than this anywhere. Thoroughly enjoyed catching the bus to Ironbridge and Broseley too. Very handy for the Severn Valley Railway to Bewdley and Kidderminster (check out Bewdley Brewery if you get a chance).

I am unable to fault the Croft which is why we have and will continue to use it for our annual fishing trips to the river Severn

Well worthy of the 9.5 exceptional rating on the site. Nothing too much trouble for the owners, very well placed in the upper town. lovely breakfast, comfortable rooms, spotless clean.

Everything was of a very high standard. The only thing which I found a little bit of a nuisance was the very narrow bathroom attached to my room, but I know that is probably due to the limitations of space in an old building.I see from the latest issue thatyou have an advert. in the Severn Valley Railway magazine - well done !

My stay at The Croft was exactly what I needed. Somewhere relatively small and personal and above all relaxing. It is clean, friendly and efficiently run.It has the ‘personal’ touch but not overwhelmingly so. Because I asked to stay an extra night and my existing room wasn’t available I have had the experience of having had two rooms. Although different, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend either. I have no doubt that all other rooms are of the same quality.I would thoroughly recommend The Croft and indeed have booked another week here in a few months.

Different situation to the norm, covid 19 to deal with, rules to follow. Breakfast was very good, our hosts where very nice and helpful. Central location was very handy for shops and car parks, car parking was an issue but soon sorted.

We have spent our Anniversary weekend at the Croft for the last five or six years , wouldn't go anywhere else.Beautiful rooms, lovely friendly staff, super food, my husband says they do the best breakfast anywhere. 5 stars from us.

The Croft Is now my favourite place to stay in Bridgnorth and do I share that secret? I guess I should. Although I always hope it’s not booked up as it really is such a lovely, welcoming and perfect place to stay. Perfectly situated by the high street but quietly tucked down a side street. The rooms are always immaculate and the breakfast is always made to your preference. Best features are, pricing for me as it’s so affordable. Also the owners are genuinely nice people.There is a lounge and dining room should you wish to have an evening drink or takeaway. The rooms are great. Clean, well furnished. Tv, shower, tea n coffee, comfy bed. Hairdryer. Nice touches giving a home from home feel. Super clean and the bathroom spotless. Can’t wait to stay again.

Excellent.Have stayed here before(though not with current owners of course)and have already booked again,which is a plus straight away!Nice room,good breakfast,efficiently served under the odd circumstances in which we live at the moment.We travelled on public transport,so can't comment on parking (Bridgnorth not well endowed with free car parks?).Looking forward to our next visit.

The Croft was clean, welcoming & well provided. The provision of fresh milk in a communal refrigerator in the reception area for guests to help themselves was appreciated, as we do not like UHT. We also appreciated the decent size in mugs in the room instead of small cups & saucers, though I had to ask for a teapot, as I do not like tea made in the cup. The shower was very good, & the bed & pillows were comfortable. It was a short walk to the High Street shops, & a variety of eating places, & it was a good idea for there to be provision in the hotel for guests to bring back a takeaway to eat, given the limitations on the hospitality trade. Parking is a problem since it is in a narrow street but we had a disability badge which gave us a free pass, except when the parking was already full but a car park is a short distance away down an alley where parking is free from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m., & £1 an hour during the day, with blue badge holder allowed an extra hour free.

We had a fabulous cycling weekend staying at The Croft. The whole place was sparkling clean and we felt very well cared for throughout. The rooms were very comfortable and all of our breakfasts each day were delicious. The owners are very friendly and our bicycles stored securely indoors overnight. Plenty of things to see and do whilst out and about in the area, so it's a very high recommendation from us all!

Wonderful place to stay.The best I have stopped in all of Bridgnorth to fair. The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating, especially during the difficult times of 2020 they adapted remarkably. The rooms and bed were really nice and comfortable. The lobby, building and its decor original wooden interior and features have been well looked after and is so relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. My wife and I stayed at the Croft as part of a group of 11 to celebrate my 50th Birthday in Bridgnorth. The hotel is well situated only a minute walk from a pay and display car park (which can be paid online). The hosts were lovely and welcoming and very efficient. Although we originally booked 6 double rooms they were very accommodating in rearranging two rooms to twins, offering family rooms at no extra cost. The room was very comfortable, with good facilities. The only small issue is that there was no blackout blind, so we woke up a bit too early. The breakfast was excellent, great prompt and polite service, very condiserate. The food was fantastic, we both had an amazing full english which was high quality meat and served nice and hot. We would highly recommend the Croft to anyone wanting a short break in Bridgnorth.Bev and Greg

Excellent breakfast and a very comfortable bed and a very good price for a last minute booking. The hotel offers lots of information about the town of Bridgnorth and surrounding area with three Ordnance Survey maps on the table on the ground floor. The staff are all very nice and friendly and so is their little black dog!I came to the town to see friends and to visit the Severn Valley Railway. Quirky in the sense that in the hotel room was an information guide about Bridgnorth and of The Croft, saying that in the past it was a temperance hall but now its decorated with pictures of wine and there are hops along the roof beams in the dining room!

The whole experience was amazing from pre arrival communication,the hosts even generously ironed one of my friends shirts before the wedding. Rooms and Breakfast were great with Vegan and Gluten Free requirments really well met and the meat eaters enjoyed theirs too.Venue its self is really quirkey. 100% recommended ????

A very warm welcome and the place is spotless and clean. Loved it when they said, if you need anything, he pointed at the phone with a smile and said, just ring zero, and I will appear!! Breakfast was served quick and with as much as you wanted with a wide range of everything you would expect and the fry up was fantastic. It was very quiet and perfect nights sleep, and just a two minute walk around the corner from the high street where you have every type of shop, pub, fish and chips restaurant you name it, it's there. I would very highly recommend staying to anybody, and I certainly will do again next time I am in the area. Wonderful old house, wonderful host in a perfect place looked after and kept in a very high standard.

I enjoyed my stay at the Croft very much. The hotel is small and family run. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The building is an old grade 2 listed building and full of character. However the facilities are excellent and i had a very good nights sleep on the comfortable bed. The location is ideal; on a quiet street just off the High street. It is very handy for the town centre, pubs, restaurants and the Severn valley Railway. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had - and I have had a few! I hope to stay there again.

The Croft is really central to Bridgnorth, but also quite cosy and peaceful. We had plentiful and varied breakfasts and felt it was value for money. Whilst the street parking is scarce and has restrictions, there is inexpensive long stay parking and short stay very close. We would be happy to return to the Croft.

We had just an overnight stop over at The Croft following a get together with some friends from years gone by.It's a lovely place.Great hosts, comfy room, great shower and an excellent breakfast.Great value for money too.Would recommend to anyone staying over in Bridgnorth and we would stay here again.There's no parking but you know that when you book so as long as you are happy to walk a couple of minutes to the car park it's not an issue and the benefits of staying at the Croft outweigh this anyway!Thanks for a lovely stay.

Very central location, friendly and helpful staff/ owners. Great breakfast, easy access. Single room was very single.

Lovely little B&B in high town. Bedroom small but comfortable with ensuite and good tea tray. Delicious breakfast cooked to order. Staff very friendly and informative. Car park next road down (£1ph 8am-6pm) Lots of pubs, restaurants in easy walking distance. Will return when next in area.

A warm welcome is indeed found at The Croft, in the very attractive town of Bridgnorth, with its engaging high street, adjoining streets (of which St Mary's is one) and other delights -- including steps (and a lovely cliff railway) from High Town to Low Town, and a beautiful castle walk.The Severn Valley railway is also nearby.Everything was fine: lovely breakfast, comfortable bed, relaxed atmosphere.

We enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing stay in a lovely, spacious room in a characterful building. The owners, who had taken over the business barely 24 hours before we checked in, and staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The Croft is very well run, it is clean, handy for anything in Bridgnorth and does a very good breakfast.

We stayed at The Croft on our way to and from N Wales (one night each way). On the way we were in room 4 which was fine; on the return we were in room 10 which was very cramped - barely acceptable as a double room. Very good breakfast in a friendly and helpful atmosphere.

The Croft is very well situated close to the main High Street with free overnight parking in the adjacent Pay & Display car park.The rooms (a single & a double) were spotlessly clean and very well presented.The full English breakfast was served to perfection & with a wide choice of cereals/juices also available.Booked at short notice but got a good online deal so very satisfied with our stay...and have another visit planned for later this year.Many thanks to the friendly & helpful staff.

As a group of 4 we were staying overnight in Bridgnorth to see a show at The Little Theatre on the Steps.The Croft is perfectly placed within Bridgnorth Town. Our stay at The Croft was only for one night, to enable a visit to the Severn Valley Railway. It is impossible to fault The Croft. It was exactly as the description stated and was friendly and excellent. Very quiet location right in the centre of the town.

Great stay - great rooms - great breakfast

We have stayed on one previous occasion and liked it so much we came back! Originating from Bridgnorth I did not find it difficult to work out how to get there or find parking. The room we stayed in on Sat. was even nicer than our 1st stay. Lovely firm bed and plenty of pillows made for a great night's sleep. Room was family room sized so had a sofa bed type setup at the other side of the room. Shower may be a bit of a squeeze for some but we were fine. The piece de resistance was the inclusive breakfast. Can choose any combo of items on the cooked list... Bacon, sausage, black pudding, eggs (fried, scrambled or poached), mushrooms beans, tomato, smoked haddock and kipper. 1st time, I had kipper with the other parts of a full English!! Delightful. Only one slight criticism, the poor fella was inundated suddenly when our food was served and he forgot to give me my requested ketchup. I didn't say anything because he was so busy and my breakfast was just as delicious without it. Conveniently situated about 250yds from the main High St, it's perfectly located for all the touristy stuff, shops and so on. There's a public car park over the road accessed from the Croft via a connecting alleyway. You need to access the car park via Listley St.and park at the "back" of it to have less of a walk to the Croft. The charge is 8am to 6pm on a daily basis. Roughly works out cheaply if arriving late pm and staying overnight; remember to get up and put money in from 8am the next morning tho! I'm not sure if they accommodate for pets, nor am I sure if they have disabled access to rooms.Lovely place, I'm definitely only booking here if & when we stay in Bridgnorth. Thank you!

Stayed with my partner for a break away from normality. We were very happy with out stay our room was lovely a bit on the small side but never the less it was clean and warm which is the most important things. The staff were very nice and friendly and the breakfast was amazing. Definitely recommend a stay here and next time we stay in Bridgnorth ill be booking again.Thanks for having us 😊

We had a fabulous three nights staying at the Croft. Beautiful old Tudor house, friendly and efficient staff, very comfortable bed, and excellent breakfast. Everything we hoped for and more.

Good base for visit to Ironbridge area & by train to other places. Bridgnorth is a very pleasant town with great views from castle gardens. The Croft is ideally situated on St Mary’s, a quiet side street. Nearest car park a 2 min walk away.Breakfast was very good & hosts friendly & helpful. Plenty of places to eat in Bridgnorth, recommend The Shakespeare & Spanish Tapas restaurant.

Couldnt fault it at all. Staff were friendly, eoom perfectly fine and the breakfast was delicious. Dont worry about the 'shared bathroom' as its one to every two rooms so i never had to wait and it was always spotless. Breakfast sourced from local butcher and as i say was fab. Thank you

A very good town based b&B. Clean and spacious. Very good breakfast. A very friendly host and staff. The B&B is very convenient in the centre of town on a quiet side street. There is no car parking at the B&B but a pay and display is across the road through an alleyway. We parked for free at the disused council buildings just a 10 minute walk away.There are plenty of places to eat and drink close by. Bridgnorth is a fine little town with plenty to do if its used as a base.

We have stayed here before but our other 9 friends hadn't, we came here for our first wedding anniversary has we all like bridge north. All our party was blown away by all rooms given no complaints well worth the money paid, breakfast was all good. I came with a friend to Brignorth on the evening of 12 April 2019 and booked two double rooms at The Croft. The rooms had a lot of character and a lot of care and attention had been put into them to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel is a listed building and has a lot of interesting features which give it a unique and pleasant atmosphere.The breakfast was very enjoyable and definitely set us up well for the day ahead.Brignorth is ideal for touring the local area and the hotel is ideally located in the centre of the town.We were made to feel very welcome by the proprietor who was very helpful to us throughout our stay.A very big thank you for an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Overall I had a comfortable stay in this charming and characterful house.Unfortunately, I was served dry and leathery kippers at breakfast. Possibly my fault for choosing kippers so far from the sea ?

We had a lovely welcome and shown to our room where it was clean and comfortable. They were very accommodating as we had a wedding and was able to use the lounge facilities as long as necessary which was much appreciated. The Croft was a lovely place to stay.

Over the years I have stayed at the Croft many times, but this was my first visit for a while. Everything was even better than I had remembered - immaculate room, comfortable bed, clean spacious en suite bathroom, excellent breakfast choice with very attentive service from host David. If you can, try to book a stay at the Croft. It's in high demand, especially around the times of railway gala events. If and when I can book, I am assured of a warm welcome and a bountiful breakfast. Spotlessly clean and comfortable, the Croft was my port in last weekend's storm.

A gem in Bridgnorth. Amazing accommodation and great hospitality from David. Location is good. Fabulous breakfast. It's taken quite a while to be able to book as always busy - not surprised!

We booked for a quiet weekend away and stayed at the croft for one night. We were told in advance that they were fairly full so were not surprised to be allocated quite a small room. However we received excellent service and the owner personally ensured a reservation for an evening meal at a local restaurant which was lovely. The room was clean and neat and the breakfast the next morning was lovely.

We stop here every time we visit family, the family room is very clean with lovely hot chocolate for the children.The breakfast is delicious.We will definitely be stopping again on our next visit.

I stayed one night at The Croft when attending a concert at the Little Theatre on the Steps, which is about 5 minutes walk away.I was warmly welcomed by the proprietor, David, and shown to my room. This was Room 7 at the top of the hotel at the back. It turned out to be a good choice as it was very quiet. Some other guests were complaining the next morning about noise from the street (it was a Saturday night) but I didn't hear anything myself and slept well.The room was spacious with a large bathroom. Unfortunately the shower had been broken by the previous guests but I was still able to take a bath, so no problem really. I'm sure it will be fixed in the next few days.Breakfast was excellent, with a good range of options including full English and also kippers or smoked haddock. There was also fruit, cereal and a selection of home-nade jams and marmalade (I highly recommend the rhubarb and ginger!).I thought the service was very good, friendly and helpful while also being low-key and unintrusive, which is ideal in my book.Parking is a bit of an issue (and would be at any hotel in Bridgnorth). You can park on the road in front of the hotel to unload (if you can find a space) but unless you have a resident's permit can only stay there for 40 minutes. Based on David's advice I drove around the corner to the council pay and display car park which costs £1 an hour on Saturday for up to three hours. It's free after 6 pm until 8 am the next morning, so again as advised I went back in the evening and paid for another 2 hours, which duly generated a new ticket valid till 10 am on Sunday. It wasn't a major hassle, although it would be nice if Bridgnorth was a bit more visitor-friendly where parking is concerned. The car park has aa alleyway that leads back to St Mary's Street near The Croft, so it's only two minutes walk away.Overall, I enjoyed my stay at The Croft and have nothing at all to criticise about it, so 5 stars from me.
